You’ve posted most of the worst threads on WHO over the last 5 years but this is ankles and feet below anything else you’ve written.
Pie and mash is outstanding.
That’s all there is to it.

Re: Pies

I have not had a pie for a while now but I had pie and mash on my honeymoon and my first trip to London (at the place that's now a curry place near the Shadwell DLR station) so it will always have a special place in my heart.
Also not a fan of starch in starch (other than crisps inside certain sandwiches) so pies with potato or swede in them are not my thing.

Now I am curious for nostalgia's sake.
Anyone know the name of the pie and mash shop that I talked about below.
Near the Shadwell station, I was there about 12 years ago but no idea how long it lasted.
Google says it is called Fried and Grilled now.

I remember it. Ate there a few times. Absolutely no idea what the name was though.

Pies are the same in the North and South. It's what you have with them that makes a difference.

Re: Pies

Not boughta pastry case style pie in yeeeeeaars. Can't even remember the last time. Obviously used to back in the day at Duncan's before a game, but now i'm definitely a grown up, decide to steer well clear of Greggs, pasty shops and the like. Still cook and eat bigger pies though, like shepherds', cottage and the like.
Some good pastry pies (and others) on here: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/collection/pie
